About Our Registration

DJ Grigg Accounting Pty Ltd (trading as DJ Grigg Financial) is a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). We are authorised to provide tax agent services under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA) and are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct set out in that legislation.

Prescribed Events and Registration Conditions

To assist you in deciding whether to engage (or continue to engage) our firm, we are required to disclose any relevant matters from 1 July 2022 that could significantly influence your decision.

We confirm the following:

  • No prescribed events have occurred for this firm or its principals in the past 5 years, including:
    • Suspension or termination of tax agent registration;
    • Insolvency, bankruptcy, or external administration;
    • Convictions for serious tax offences or fraud;
    • Imprisonment;
    • Civil penalties for promoting tax exploitation schemes.
  • Our registration is not subject to any conditions that restrict the tax services we are permitted to provide.

Your Rights and Obligations

As a client of a registered tax agent, you have the right to expect that we will:

  • Act lawfully and in your best interests;
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your personal and financial information;
  • Be competent in the services we provide;
  • Respond to you in a timely and professional manner;
  • Avoid conflicts of interest;
  • Charge fees that are fair and transparent.

In turn, we ask that you:

  • Pay our invoices as agreed.
  • Provide us with complete and accurate information in a timely manner;
  • Keep your tax records as required by law;
  • Cooperate with our reasonable requests for clarification or documentation;
  • Comply with your obligations under taxation law;

How to Make a Complaint

We are committed to resolving complaints fairly and promptly. If you are dissatisfied with our service, we encourage you to raise it as follows:

  1. Contact your accountant directly in writing.
  2. If unresolved within 3 business days, escalate it to our Practice Manager, Nikki Meehan at mail@djgrigg.com.au. We will investigate and respond in writing within 14 days.
  3. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Tax Practitioners Board. They may investigate whether we have breached the Code of Professional Conduct.
